PDEA destroys 11,000 marijuana plants in Sarangani, arrests drug suspect in Biñan

A joint operation involving several law enforcement agencies uprooted and destroyed approximately 11,000 mature marijuana plants in Malungon, Sarangani province.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) regional office estimated the value of the seized cannabis at P2.2 million.

Conducted on February 6 in Barangay B'laan, the operation included personnel from PDEA, the 73rd Infantry Battalion, and local police units.

Witnesses were present as the contraband was burned onsite, with samples sent to a laboratory for analysis.

Separately, a drug personality was arrested in Biñan, Laguna, during a buy-bust operation on Saturday, found with suspected liquid marijuana oil and dried leaves worth P54,000.
