Over 6K immunocompromised get 2nd COVID-19 booster in 1st week

A total of 6,702 immunocompromised individuals received their second COVID-19 booster shots in the first week of the government's rollout.

NVOC chairperson and DOH Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje reported that there are now 67.8 million fully-vaccinated individuals in the country with a total of 146.7 million doses administered.

Cabotaje noted that while 31.2 million people have received their first booster, the rollout for this was 'quite slow'.

The Health Technology Assessment Council's recommendation for extending second boosters to other priority groups is still under study.
