Over 1,500 Pinoys join Sinopharm's UAE COVID-19 vaccine trial

Over 1,500 Filipinos in the UAE are participating in Sinopharm's Phase III clinical trials for their COVID-19 vaccine.

The trial started on June 23 and involves more than 30,000 volunteers in total.

Sinopharm is also conducting similar trials in Bahrain, Argentina, Peru, and Morocco with over 50,000 participants from 115 countries.

According to the Chinese Embassy, Sinopharm's vaccine has been used under emergency conditions since July 22 without any severe adverse effects or infections reported.
