PNP denies Metro Manila lockdown reports

The Philippine National Police (PNP) denied reports on social media suggesting a lockdown order for Metro Manila due to rising Covid-19 cases.

Only the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases or the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council can issue such an order.

The PNP emphasized that they are enhancing preparations but have not issued any lockdown orders, and will provide updates as necessary.
