Filipino Olympian Aleah Finnegan conducts gymnastics training for young hopefuls

Filipino gymnasts Aleah Finnegan and Emma Malabuyo, along with their mothers Linabelle and Analyn, held a free basic training session for over 80 young hopefuls at the MVPSF Gymnastics Center in Intramuros, Manila on Saturday and Sunday.

Aleah Finnegan made history as the first Filipina to qualify for the Summer Olympics since 1964, placing 47th and emphasizing her gratitude for representing the country.

During breaks of the training session, both Olympians impressed attendees with dance moves to Sabrina Carpenter's viral hit 'Espresso'.

Finnegan expressed that while she is not ruling out competing in the next Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028, she is currently focused on finishing her studies at Louisiana State University.

The training clinic concluded on Sunday and Finnegan highlighted the importance of continued support for young Filipino gymnasts to succeed on the international stage.

Aleah's mother, Linabelle, shared her pride in Aleah’s performance at the Paris Olympics and their plans for upcoming competitions before the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
