Odette death toll climbs to 14, reports of 312 more dead pending validation

The death toll due to Typhoon Odette has risen to 14 confirmed fatalities as of Friday, with two injured and two missing.

However, reports of an additional 312 dead, 661 injured, and 54 missing are still being validated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

The typhoon has affected over 870,000 families or about 3.4 million people across various regions in the Philippines.

As of Thursday, a total of 258 deaths were reported with 47 missing and 568 injured; however, only 11 fatalities have been confirmed by NDRRMC.
