DPWH: Odette damages PH infra to P585-M

As of Wednesday, December 22, 2021, the estimated damage to infrastructure caused by Typhoon Odette in the Visayas and Mindanao has reached PHP585.8 million.

Mimaropa recorded the highest cost of damage at PHP231.9 million, followed by Eastern Visayas with PHP173.4 million, Caraga with PHP145 million, and Western Visayas with PHP35.5 million.

The DPWH has released a total of PHP100 million as an Immediate Response Fund for clearing/response operations in affected regions.

On Tuesday, December 21, the damage to infrastructure was reported at nearly PHP449 million, with roads accounting for PHP209.5 million and bridges/flood-control structures for PHP139.4 million.
