Odette causes P25B damage to agri, infra

Typhoon Odette caused over PHP25 billion in damage to agriculture and infrastructure in various regions of the Philippines.

As of January 6, 2022, agricultural losses surpassed PHP11 billion affecting around 389,316 farmers and fishers across multiple regions.

Fisheries sustained the most damage at PHP3 billion, followed by rice with losses valued at PHP2.6 billion as of January 6.

Total crop damage reached PHP9 billion on December 31, impacting over 132,000 individuals and affecting around 351,932 hectares of agricultural land.
