OCTA: NCR's COVID-19 cases show clear decline

The weekly growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila has decreased to -10%, indicating a downward trend.

OCTA Research member Dr. Guido David noted that the reproduction number in NCR is now at 1.79, down from 2.07 previously.

Manila's daily new cases have also shown a clear decline with a 23% decrease over the past week.

However, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire cautioned that it is too early to confirm a sustained downward trend based on daily data fluctuations.

David advised residents to remain vigilant and continue following health protocols to sustain the current trends.
