Filipinos abroad with COVID-19 reach 245, four deaths

As of Friday, March 27, the number of Filipinos abroad confirmed to have COVID-19 increased to 245 with four deaths.

The latest update by the DFA showed an increase of 42 new cases since Thursday, mostly in the Middle East (24 cases), followed by Asia Pacific (11) and Europe (7).

Of the total cases, 139 are DOH-verified. The number of recoveries is at 108 while 133 Filipinos are still undergoing treatment.

The DFA did not disclose the specific countries where these cases were recorded to avoid discrimination against affected individuals.
