UST sweeps girls' beach volleyball, NU wins boys' title

University of Santo Tomas completed an eight-match sweep in the UAAP Season 86 girls' beach volleyball tournament by defeating Far Eastern University-Diliman with scores of 21-15 and 21-17 on Sunday.

Khy Progella, Cameron Grace Villaluz, and Grithney Jhyn Dadang secured UST's third championship in Season 86 after their women's team won its ninth title earlier this year.

Far Eastern University-Diliman's Love Lopez, Sheena Cafe, and Frenchie Premaylon claimed the silver medal following a strong performance throughout the tournament.

Meanwhile, National University Nazareth School secured its first boys' beach volleyball title by rallying from a one-set deficit to beat FEU-Diliman with scores of 15-21, 21-16, and 15-12.

Rain Skyler Gemarino was named the tournament MVP for his performance in leading National University Nazareth School to victory.
