Bella Belen announces final UAAP year for NU Lady Bulldogs

Two-time UAAP MVP Bella Belen confirmed Thursday that Season 87 will be her final year playing for the National University Lady Bulldogs.

Belen, who turns 22 this season and is a reigning top plum recipient, aims to conclude her college career by helping NU retain their women's volleyball championship in their upcoming match against La Salle on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena.

During a press conference, Belen expressed excitement about playing her final year with NU and emphasized the team's mindset of defending their title, noting that this time around, the challenge is greater as they aim to go back-to-back after missing out in Season 85.

Under the guidance of Premier Volleyball League grand slam champion coach Sherwin Meneses, National University aims to defend its championship title this season with Belen focusing solely on her UAAP journey before thinking about her future pro career.

Belen and her teammates are determined to avoid a repeat of last season's outcome by remaining focused on their own performance rather than outside opinions or expectations.
