Lady Bulldogs beat Fighting Maroons 76-64 in UAAP women's basketball

The National University Lady Bulldogs dominated the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons with a 76-64 victory in UAAP Season 87 women's basketball on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Despite being tied 41-all after the first half, NU unleashed a decisive third-quarter surge to take control of the game and ultimately led by as much as 27 points before UP's late comeback attempt.

Princess Fabruada led NU with 16 points, five rebounds and one steal, while Aloha Betanio contributed 13 points, four steals, four rebounds and two assists.

Jainaba Konateh added 12 points and six rebounds for NU in just 12 minutes, while Christie Bariquit led UP with 14 points and three rebounds.

NU improved to a perfect 3-0 record heading into their highly anticipated finals rematch against the University of Santo Tomas on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.
