NorthPort secures first place in PBA Commissioner's Cup

NorthPort secured a decisive victory over Blackwater with a score of 120-93 on Saturday night in the PBA Commissioner's Cup elimination round.

Led by Joshua Munzon's strong performance of 21 points and five assists, NorthPort reclaimed first place with a 9-3 win-loss record, bolstering their bid for a twice-to-beat spot in the playoffs.

Kadeem Jack contributed 30 points while Arvin Tolentino recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists as NorthPort maintained consistent scoring throughout the game, netting 30 points in each quarter.

Blackwater ended its conference with a 3-9 record after playing without injured players George King and Sedrick Barefield.

NorthPort will wait until the end of the eliminations on Friday to determine their final ranking for the playoffs. They could clinch a twice-to-beat advantage if Meralco Bolts lose one of their remaining matches or if two teams among Meralco, Hong Kong Eastern, and TNT Tropang Giga each lose once in their final games.

NorthPort will likely face either San Miguel Beermen or Magnolia Hotshots in the playoffs, teams they previously defeated during the elimination round.
