Blackwater beats Phoenix 100-92 in PBA despite injuries

Blackwater secured a crucial 100-92 victory over Phoenix in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo, despite lacking key players George King and Sedrick Barefield due to injuries.

Veterans Justin Chua, Jvee Casio, Jewel Ponferada, and young player Christian David stepped up to lead Blackwater with Chua scoring 22 points, Casio contributing 14 points and five assists, and David adding 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Head coach Jeff Cariaso praised his players' effort and teamwork, emphasizing that their performance could determine the team's playoff chances depending on the outcome of NorthPort’s game against San Miguel Beer.

If NorthPort wins, Blackwater's playoff hopes will likely end; however, if NorthPort loses, Blackwater still has a chance but must win crucial games including their upcoming match against NorthPort on Saturday.
