Nora Aunor laid to rest at Libngn ng Bayani

National Artist Nora Aunor was laid to rest on April 22 at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.

Family members, including her children Ian De Leon, Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth De Leon, along with friends like Janine Gutierrez, paid their respects during a solemn ceremony.

Ian de Leon held a white rose during military funeral honors and accepted the Philippine flag used during the service from officials.

At Nora's final resting place, a priest led prayers while the immediate family gave tearful farewells before the casket was closed with another military ritual of removing the flag.

During the procession to Aunor’s interment site, fans sang 'Handog' and presented memorabilia such as shirts, photo collections, CDs, cassette tapes, and tarpaulins with messages of love for their departed idol.

Music played a significant role throughout the funeral, with Nora's hit songs 'Superstar ng Buhay Ko' and 'Ikaw ang Superstar' resonating deeply among attendees who honored her legacy as more than just an artist but also a beloved figure in their lives.
