Janine Gutierrez mourns loss of grandmothers Nora Aunor, Pilita Corrales

Award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez mourns the loss of both her maternal grandmother, National Artist and Superstar Nora Aunor, and her paternal grandmother, Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales, who passed away within five days.

Janine honored Pilita on Instagram, who died on April 12, and shared the news of Nora's passing on April 16, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support.

Tributes from Filipino celebrities such as Vilma Santos and Dingdong Dantes continue to pour in following Nora’s death, while Pilita’s remains lie at Heritage Park with final interment details yet unrevealed.

Nora Aunor, known for iconic roles in films like 'Himala' and 'Bona', alongside her popular songs such as 'Pearly Shells' and 'Tiny Bubbles', will be honored with a state necrological service on April 22 at the Heritage Park Chapel.

The remains of both Nora Aunor and Pilita Corrales are being held at Chapel 7 of The Chapels at Heritage Park, with public viewing scheduled for April 19 and 20 for Nora, followed by an internment ceremony on April 22 at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
