Nora Aunor laid to rest in state funeral

A tribute program was held during Nora Aunor's necrological services at the Metropolitan Theater on Tuesday, April 22.

The event celebrated her life and legacy with a video compilation of career highlights and concluded with her burial at Manila North Cemetery followed by a state funeral ceremony.

Nora Aunor was laid to rest alongside other National Artists as part of a state funeral ceremony recognizing her significant contributions to Philippine cinema and arts.

She is the fifth Filipino filmmaker, following Gerardo de Leon, Ishmael Bernal, Marilou Diaz-Abaya, Eddie Romero, to be honored with burial at Manila North Cemetery under the National Artist designation.
