Palace: No non-essential travel to provinces during MECQ

Metro Manila residents are barred from traveling to their home provinces during the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) unless they are classified as authorized persons outside residence (APOR).

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reminded that only essential travel is permitted under MECQ guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Roque emphasized that leisure trips, such as visiting relatives, are not allowed and should be avoided.
