Negros Occidental closes borders until April 14

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson ordered the closure of the province's borders, ports, and airports until April 14.

The directive restricts entry to residents of Negros Occidental, health workers responding to emergencies, members of PNP/AFP, persons with urgent medical/humanitarian reasons, and those transporting essential goods.

Checkpoints are established at key border points to enforce the order and prevent non-residents from entering.

Returning residents must undergo a 14-day home quarantine if they show symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19.
