PHO urges vigilance against new COVID variants

Assistant Provincial Health Officer Dr. Liland Estacion has repeatedly urged residents to adhere to health protocols and remain vigilant against the spread of COVID-19.

She cautioned against complacency, especially with the possibility of new variants or mutations entering Negros Oriental, despite no confirmed cases yet.

Estacion also advised seeking medical consultation for influenza-like symptoms due to unpredictable weather conditions.

On Tuesday, she emphasized the need for continued cooperation from residents to sustain the decreasing trend in COVID-19 cases compared to neighboring provinces experiencing spikes.
