DOH reports 1,888 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths

As of Sunday, February 21, the Philippines recorded 1,888 new COVID-19 cases and 20 deaths, bringing the total active cases to 26,238 and the death toll to 12,088.

The Department of Health also reported 9,737 recoveries, pushing the overall recovery rate to 93.2% of all confirmed cases.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded 39 new COVID-19 cases among its personnel on Sunday, bringing the total number of infected police officers to 11,054 with 95.7% recoveries.

The DFA reported four new cases and two deaths among Filipinos abroad, increasing the total overseas cases to 14,801 and fatalities to 1,014.
