NegOcc launches two-week vaccine drive for gov't workers

Negros Occidental launched a two-week 'Barangay Kapitolyo' mass vaccination program for government workers on Thursday, May 20.

The Provincial Health Office aims to vaccinate up to 300 employees daily until June 4, including Capitol staff and personnel from national agencies detailed in the province.

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson expressed hope for a continuing decrease in local Covid-19 cases, noting a steady decline over the past week with 1,589 active cases as of May 17.

Lacson also encouraged provincial government employees to take advantage of the vaccination opportunity and highlighted that no one can be forced but strongly urged to get vaccinated.
