NCR sets 34 checkpoints to restrict unvaxxed movement

A total of 34 checkpoints have been set up in Metro Manila to monitor compliance with health protocols and restrict the movement of unvaccinated individuals.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is conducting visibility patrols and random checks on public transport vehicles and establishments to ensure they comply with the 70 percent capacity rule and require proof of vaccination.

Local government units and police have started enforcing restrictions on unvaccinated people under Alert Level 3, in compliance with President Duterte's directive.

On Friday, unvaccinated individuals were barred from entering the borders between NCR and Bulacan; vehicles built up at checkpoints as police checked for vaccination cards starting early morning.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) stated that travelers to NCR and Bulacan must present their COVID-19 vaccination cards before entering quarantine borders, with those without cards being turned away.
