Health pros advise extending Metro Manila ECQ

Health professionals recommend extending Metro Manila and nearby provinces' enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) for 2 more weeks to curb COVID-19 spread.

Starting April 12 until the end of the month, these areas are placed under a modified ECQ (MECQ), which is less strict than ECQ but stricter than general community quarantine.

Presidential Spox Harry Roque announced that NCR Plus bubble including Metro Manila and Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal will be under MECQ until April 30; Santiago City in Isabela, Quirino province, and Abra are also placed under MECQ.

Quezon province is under general community quarantine (GCQ) while the rest of the country remains under modified GCQ.
