QC releases MECQ guidelines, imposes liquor ban

Quezon City released guidelines for the MECQ period until the end of April.

Curfew hours are from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., with exemptions for essential workers and emergencies.

Essential activities can operate 24/7, including public transportation, couriers, cargo vehicles, market delivery, food take-out and delivery, pharmacies, hospitals, convenience stores, and delivery of essential goods.

Call centers and BPOs may also continue to operate 24 hours.

Mayor Joy Belmonte signed a memorandum imposing a liquor ban until April 30.

The curfew applies to all persons except those going to or returning from work in essential businesses or traveling for air or sea travel with pre-booked tickets.
