NCR Covid positivity rate rises to 18.9%, highest since June

The positivity rate for COVID-19 in the National Capital Region (NCR) increased slightly to 18.9% as of September 29, according to OCTA Research.

This is the highest positivity rate in NCR since June.

While the reproduction number decreased to 1.10 from 1.28, indicating a potential slowdown in transmission, new cases are still rising.

The average daily attack rate remains moderate at 7.42 per 100,000 population.

However, healthcare utilization rates and ICU occupancy remain low, with the health care utilization rate for COVID-19 at 35% as of September 28 and ICU occupancy at 29%.
