DOH upgrades Metro Manila's COVID-19 risk level to moderate

The DOH reported an increase in Covid-19 hospital admissions in six Metro Manila LGUs: Pasig, Muntinlupa, Malabon, Makati, Navotas, and Caloocan.

While 13 out of the 17 areas in Metro Manila are now classified as moderate risk for Covid-19, Malabon, Navotas, Caloocan, and Valenzuela remain under close monitoring due to their low case numbers but limited hospital beds dedicated to treating Covid-19 patients.

DOH officer-in-charge Maria Rosario Vergeire announced that Metro Manila has been reclassified from low risk to moderate risk for COVID-19 following a two percent increase in daily average infections over the past week.
