Navy ships deliver relief goods for Typhoon Odette victims

Two Philippine Navy ships have arrived in Cebu to deliver around 645 tons of relief goods and humanitarian assistance for areas affected by Typhoon Odette.

The BRP Tarlac and BRP Agta arrived on December 23 and 24 respectively, carrying essential items and a 200-man contingent from the Philippine Marine Corps' 9th Marine Battalion.

Additionally, the BRP Ang Pangulo, repurposed as a floating hospital, has reached Siargao Island in Surigao Del Norte with thousands of relief goods and construction materials for recovery efforts.

The Navy's landing craft BRP Ivatan also arrived at Dapa, Siargao, to transfer these supplies.

Another PN landing craft, the BRP Iwak, delivered 7,800 kilograms of bottled water, rice, and other essential items on December 22.
