PCG prioritizes relief ops in Dinagat after Typhoon Odette

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is prioritizing disaster relief operations in Dinagat Islands following Typhoon Odette, which damaged around 95% of the province.

On Tuesday, PCG spokesperson Commodore Armand Balilo stated that the BRP Sindangan and other Philippine Navy vessels have arrived in Siargao to conduct relief operations and are now heading to Dinagat Islands.

Previously on Sunday, the PCG conducted transport missions in Surigao del Norte using available sea assets like the BRP Gabriela Silang due to a lack of alternative boats for stranded tourists and residents.
