LPA, southwest monsoon bring rains over Palawan, Visayas, Mindanao

A low pressure area (LPA) and southwest monsoon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao on Tuesday.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience isolated rain showers due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms, with rain likely in the afternoon or at night.

Moderate to strong winds and rough coastal waters are expected in northern and western sections of Luzon.

The LPA may develop into a tropical depression within 24 to 48 hours and move towards Visayas and Southern Luzon before exiting near Mindoro.
