Megaworld donates P60M for COVID-19 test labs

Megaworld Corp., led by Andrew L. Tan, donated P60 million to the Philippine Red Cross for setting up four new COVID-19 testing laboratories in Metro Manila.

Each laboratory includes two RT-PCR machines, one RNA machine, a medical freezer, and a bio-safety cabinet.

The donation aims to enhance the government's capacity to detect and manage COVID-19 cases more effectively.

Megaworld chief strategy officer Kevin Andrew Tan expressed confidence that these laboratories will significantly increase testing capabilities.

These new labs are expected to conduct up to 10,000 tests daily with results available within three hours.
