President Duterte Orders Guidelines for Rapid Antibody Test Kits

President Duterte has directed the DOH to finalize guidelines for using FDA-approved rapid antibody test kits.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles stated that the government will use these kits in conjunction with PCR tests to boost testing capacity and isolate patients more quickly.

Visitors to Malacañang Palace are now required to undergo rapid testing before meeting Duterte, as announced by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

The PSG mandates rapid testing for everyone near President Duterte, including high-ranking officials, to ensure his safety; however, positive results will be confirmed with PCR tests at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.
