DOH disapproves Marikina's COVID-19 test center

Marikina City's Mayor Marcelino Teodoro said the DOH disapproved of the city’s COVID-19 testing center due to its location.

The testing facility is located on the sixth floor of the City Health Office, which has been vacated and dedicated solely for this purpose.

Teodoro expressed frustration over bureaucratic delays and offered to hand over the laboratory to the DOH to ensure it operates as soon as possible.

He emphasized that time is crucial in combating the spread of COVID-19, especially since it is a global pandemic.

Marikina is still awaiting final approval from the DOH to start using their testing center.
