Cities set up disinfection tents for market-goers

Cainta and Marikina City have set up disinfection tents at their public markets to combat the spread of COVID-19.

In Cainta, Mayor Kit Nieto shared photos of the disinfection tent at the Cainta Public Market, which uses misting nozzles with sanitation chemicals to sanitize market-goers before and after entry.

The initiative in Marikina City was shown by resident Harley Serball Timbol on Facebook, demonstrating similar tents at Marikina Market that help citizens decontaminate their whole bodies.

Both cities have also implemented social distancing measures alongside the disinfection tents.

Cainta has 22 confirmed cases of COVID-19, while Marikina has seven confirmed cases.
