Ilocos Norte reports 1st 2 COVID-19 cases

Ilocos Norte reported its first two cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, involving a 42-year-old man with no travel history and a 49-year-old man who traveled to Metro Manila multiple times.

Both patients are in stable condition at the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Local authorities have quarantined areas where the patients reside and are tracing their contacts.

Despite being one of the first provinces to declare a lockdown, Ilocos Norte is now implementing stricter measures to contain the virus.
