Health officials trace Davao cockfight derby attendees

Health officials in Kidapawan City and North Cotabato province are tracing about 100 people who attended a cockfight derby in Davao City from March 6 to 13.

Four persons under investigation at the Southern Philippines Medical Center have admitted attending the derby, and one of its organizers has tested positive for COVID-19.

Mayor Joseph Evangelista of Kidapawan appealed to attendees to report to health authorities for mandatory quarantine; as of now, 23 people have voluntarily reported.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte also urged derby attendees to self-quarantine and seek medical consultation if they feel unwell.
