1.5M Sinovac doses arrive in PH; Manila's 400K incoming

An additional 1.5 million doses of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine arrived in the Philippines on Thursday.

One million of these doses were purchased by the government, while 500,000 were bought by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III stated that the Chinese community will follow the government’s prioritization groups for vaccination, focusing on health front-liners, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities, and essential workers.

Additionally, Mayor Francisco 'Isko Moreno' Domagoso announced that 400,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines purchased by the city government of Manila will arrive soon to augment their share from government-procured vaccines.
