DOT hails Manila's first drive-thru vax site

The Department of Tourism hailed the opening of Manila's first drive-thru vaccination site at Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park on Saturday.

The site can accommodate up to 400 vaccinations per day with individuals needing to register in advance through Manila City’s vaccination website.

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said the facility would help accelerate the national vaccination program and bring the country closer to population protection.

Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, a medical doctor, administered some of the vaccines at the site.

The drive-thru process takes about five to seven minutes per vehicle depending on the number of vaccinees, followed by 15 minutes in the post-vaccination monitoring area.
