Yulo gets P40M in cash incentives and prizes for Olympic golds

Gymnast Carlos Yulo will receive a total of P40 million in cash incentives for his double gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including an additional P2 million from the Manila local government unit.

Pagcor Chairman Al Tengco announced that Yulo will get P10 million per gold medal from Pagcor, with an additional P5 million each for his coach and trainer, totaling P30 million in cash incentives.

The House of Representatives has pledged P6 million to Yulo, while the City of Manila now gives him a total of P2 million, including P1 million for each gold medal, and other companies have also stepped up to reward him.

Yulo's total rewards include a house and lot in Tagaytay, a three-bedroom unit worth P32 million from Megaworld, and additional cash bonuses from Chooks-to-Go and Bounty Fresh Group.

Meanwhile, pole vaulter EJ Obiena will receive P500,000 from the Manila local government for his fourth-place finish in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
