DFA assures food, medical supplies for Pinoys in coronavirus-hit China

Filipinos and foreigners in areas affected by the 2019 novel coronavirus in China are assured of sufficient food and medical supplies.

The DFA is working on emergency protocols for Filipinos in Wuhan, including possible evacuation and repatriation strategies.

There are around 150 Filipinos in Wuhan, with the Philippine Consulate General coordinating assistance from Filipino community leaders.

As of now, there are no immediate plans to evacuate Filipinos from Wuhan, but the DFA urges them to take precautionary measures and cooperate with local authorities.
