Mandaluyong Mayor halts food ops, goes into quarantine after COVID-19 exposure

Mandaluyong Mayor Carmelita 'Menchie' Abalos halted food repacking operations on Sunday after two staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

The mayor went into self-quarantine and assured constituents that each family in Mandaluyong will receive a food pack despite the temporary halt.

City health officials advised Abalos to quarantine following exposure to an individual who tested positive, leading all her staff to work from home but services like relief goods distribution continued.
