Makati Police seize P3.5M worth of drugs, arrest 35 pushers

The Makati Police Department confiscated P3.5 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride from January to March 2024, leading to the arrest of 35 pushers and 132 users.

Mayor Abigail Binay commended the police force for their hard work in arresting drug suspects and seizing illegal substances, urging them to intensify efforts against the drug menace.

In addition to these seizures, the department also arrested 83 wanted persons and apprehended 23,941 ordinance violators while confiscating 33 loose firearms.

Makati City has invested heavily in strengthening its police force's crime-fighting and emergency response capabilities to combat drug-related crimes.

The city government continues to implement a capacity building program for police officers and conducts seminar-workshops to ensure proper conduct of operations and adherence to procedures, promoting successful prosecution of drug cases.
