Binay: Makati's COVID-19 beds full, hiring more nurses

Makati City's hospital beds for COVID-19 patients are already full, Mayor Abby Binay said.

Binay noted that the city has seen a rise in cases over the past two weeks, similar to other Metro Manila cities.

The bed occupancy rate reached 100% last week, prompting Makati to hire more healthcare workers.

Makati currently has at least 824 active cases and a higher percentage of these cases involve people who travel to provinces.

Data from the DOH shows that Ospital ng Makati and Makati Medical Center are operating at critical and high-risk levels, respectively.
