Gov't urges hospitals to increase COVID-19 bed capacity

The government is considering increasing COVID-19 bed allocations in state-run hospitals and hiring more health workers due to rising cases.

Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega noted that the number of cases was worrying, indicating potential system overload.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced through IATF-EID Resolution No. 104 that public and private hospitals are urged to increase dedicated beds for COVID-19 patients.
