LPA brings rainshowers, thunderstorms over Visayas, Bicol

A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, Caraga, and parts of Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula.

PAGASA warns residents in these areas about possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

As of Friday, the LPA was located 135 kilometers east of Viracuanes, Catanduanes, with scattered rain showers also expected over Metro Manila due to localized thunderstorms.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.

A tropical depression outside the Philippine area of responsibility is also being monitored, located 2,010 kilometers east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon.
