LPA brings scattered rains, thunderstorms over parts of PH

A low-pressure area (LPA) embedded in the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over parts of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

As of Friday morning, Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, Soccsksargen, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, Ifugao, La Union, Pangasinan, and Camarines Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are possible due to moderate to heavy rains.

The LPA was last tracked 90 kilometers east southeast of Romblon, Romblon, and has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression before exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday.
