ITCZ, LPA bring rains over parts of PH

Cloudy skies and rains are expected over parts of the Philippines due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and a low-pressure area (LPA).

Mimaropa, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula will experience light to moderate rains with possible heavy rains in the afternoon.

Metro Manila and other areas will have fair weather until noon, followed by localized thunderstorms and rain showers in the afternoon.

The LPA has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone but is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility within 24 hours.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected throughout the archipelago.
