Lorenzana hopes to flatten COVID-19 curve by month's end

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, chair of the National Task Force Against Covid-19, expressed hope that the government would flatten the COVID-19 curve in Metro Manila by month's end.

Lorenzana said flattening or decreasing the curve could allow for a shift to Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) after September, improving people's lives.

He emphasized the need for close cooperation between local government units and the national government to implement quarantine and bio-safety protocols effectively.
