UP expert: NCR, Calabarzon flatten COVID-19 curve, but stay vigilant

An expert from UP's OCTA Research team says that Metro Manila and Calabarzon have flattened their COVID-19 transmission curves based on a reproduction number less than 1.

Professor Guido David warns against complacency, noting that while NCR's reproduction number is currently at 0.94 and decreasing, other areas like Bacolod City, Iloilo City, Iligan City, Davao del Sur, Leyte, and Zamboanga City remain hotspots with rising cases or critical care above danger thresholds.
